While I did find it pretty boring and rather savage, you do have to appreciate the enormous cities they made and all that.
And whatever DID happen to those Mayans...?
O.o

They essentially got driven to the farthest ends of the Yucatán, and they are still relatively homogenous in some areas.

They were significantly diminshed in terms of general population after the "Classical Age" of Mesoamerica from 600-900 A.D.

Oh, then it must've been some small group of Mayas. I don't know which one you're talking about, to be honest.
