http://variety.com/2014/digital/news/youtu...ces-1201185204/ Well, this is apparently happening, though they expect a challenge from the justice department because of US laws on monopolies. I don't even know what to say. |

If it removes the delay, then that would be perfect.

Who knows what changes they'll make to twitch's service though, if it brings some of Youtube's regulations over, it could be a very bad thing. Also, this is removing basically the only company that was even in a staging ground to compete with youtube, and that is just awful. I really hope it falls through, and twitch keeps growing because we need competing companies in the online video department. |

That's a good point. Youtube has all sorts of regulations and copyright/MPAA stuff going on. |

Honestly I see this as a them trying to improve their streaming service without putting in the time or effort to actually fix their own, its a good idea for youtube. I don't think they'll change much on how the streaming works, because twitch has that down pat, but I'm worried on what they'll change on policy regarding monetizing streams, and past broadcasts and everything. Also I'm worried about google absorbing all of youtube's competitors, and things similar to them, because youtube is honestly stuck where it should have been ten years ago, because no real competition is there to push it. I'm just on the fence about it all, and I hope it doesn't happen. |

If it's anything like Yahoo buying Tumblr it probably won't really make much of a differences besides maybe a few changes |
