I don't understand it at all. I see archaic RPGs like Arc Rise Fantasia with no innovation at all becoming wildly popular but yet not a single word of praise anywhere for Takt of Magic. Even the game's board at GameFAQs hasn't seen a post in posts. Even in topics about import games I see obscure games like Captain Rainbow and Disaster: Day of Crisis of crisis but not a single word about Takt of Magic. Here where I saw people claiming they'd import it nobody but NaEG, me and Luis checked it out despite it being ridiculously easy to softmod a Wii to play pirated games. Could someone tell me how a great and incredibly import friendly Wii RTS published by Nintendo could fly under everyone's radar? |

Is Takt of Magic still gonna be released, or did Ubisoft just can the project? |

The game was published by Nintendo not Ubisoft. I very highly doubt it will see a NA release since it sold horribly in Japan. |

I was hoping to import it, but I never got around to it. Do the servers for Wi-Fi work if you mod it for a North American Wii? |

Yeah but the game's dead. That's nothing we aren't used to though. Just makes it easier to play each other. |

Yeah, pretty much the only thing that could rejuvenate Takt of Magic would be an English translation patch. I looked into it awhile ago. Apparently you can patch games with Riivolution. Monster Hunter Tri (before the North American version was released) and this other mystery horror game that is really popular got an english patch. I can't remember the website, but apparently they were taking requests and if enough people wanted a translation, they would do an english translation patch for that game. I have no idea how many people we would need to get for Takt, but it is definitely something to look into if you guys are interested. |

Yeah, I know they made one for Fatal Frame 4 and those same people are now working on one for Tales of Graces. I'm telling you though you don't need a patch. All the in-game tutorial is done with graphics and the menus are also done mostly with graphics too. Hell, the credits are already entirely in English. I think they knew the game wasn't gonna make it to the US so they just made it as import friendly as they could for the hardcore fans. |

I think the non-English translation for the story would kind of ruin it though. If they do end up releasing a patch, I would definitely hack my Wii to play the game. |

All the story stuff is done with cutscenes so it's still easy to tell what's going on. From what I could tell it's pretty much the same story as LostMagic with some things changed around here and there. But really why does a story matter in a RTS? You're gonna be playing it to try to get an A rank on the missions and for the Wi-Fi. Just give it a chance. |
