Status Conditions

--
Charm- Causes afflicted units to attack their own team members. They cannot be controlled while charmed.

Berzerk- Raises attack to max at the expense of not being able to control your monsters. They will automatically seek out and attack the nearest enemies.

Terror- Monsters afflicted with this status cannot be controlled and will stand still. They will flee if enemies come near.

(Charm will counter a terror and vice versa. Berzerk will counter charm and vice versa. Berzerk counters terror, but terror does not counter berzerk).

Charm- wind1; + light3;
Berzerk- light2; + fire3;
Terror- water3; + light2;
--

Burn- Does minor damage every second for a long time. There is a weak burn condition and a stronger burn condition. Burns are actually advantageous as they will wake you from sleep and free you from bubbles.

Freeze- Units afflicted with freeze cannot move, attack, or cast spells. There are two kinds of freeze conditions as well. One looks like an ice cube is surrounding you and the other looks like you are encased in a snowman. I will refer to the snowman condition as deep freeze.

(Burn and freeze of all types will replace each other regardless of strength)

Bubbles- They are like ice king except they have weak homing so they will turn to hit you if you are slightly out of the way. They will keep you trapped for longer than ice king, but they break open when you take damage. They also travel slower than ice king shards.

(Bubbles replace ice king and vice versa, but you can be bubbled while afflicted with a burn)

Burn- wind1; + fire2;
Freeze- water3;
Deep Freeze- water1; + water1; + water1;
Bubble- water3; + water2;
--

Sleep- Afflicted units cannot move, attack, or cast spells. They will wake up if they take any amount of damage.

Sleep- dark3; + light2;
Deep Sleep (Lasts longer)- dark3; + light3;
--

Pacify- Afflicted units can still be controlled by their owner, but they cannot attack. They will continue to follow their target, but they will just stand next to it and do nothing until the spell wears off or is removed.

Pacify- dark3; + earth1;
(Earth 2 and earth 3 affect multiple units. That's usually the rule of thumb for most spells like this though)
--

This last one is not a status condition, but it is important to note because it has so many uses.

Purge Curse- Removes all status effects, stat buffs, debuffs, etc.

It will remove burn, freeze, sleep, charm, and pacify. However, it has no effect on terror.

It is also important to note that this spell is somewhat glitchy. If you use it to remove stat buffs/ debuffs, the stat symbols above their heads will disappear, but the stats will remain altered. Because of this glitch, the stat changes never wear off.

It sounds broken but in order to remove the effects of the glitch, you can just target the unit with any buff/ debuff to return the glitched stat changes to normal. They will be replaced by the new buff/ debuff that you just cast. It is considered a valid tactic because it is easily counterable like everything else in LostMagic.

Purge Curse (AKA- The Buff Glitch)- light1; + dark3;
--

Rules of Thumb:

Everything is counterable.

Most spells and spell types share similar patterns of execution.
For example, buffs and debuffs tend to work this way:

A Lv. 1 rune at the end means it will only affect one unit.
A Lv. 2 rune at the end means it will affect multiple units.
A Lv. 3 rune at the end means it will either max the stat for a single unit, or raise multiple units stat significantly higher than the weaker versions of the spell.

You can buff every stat at least twice for the most part (stats will max out at double their base values).

--

That's enough information for now.

Check out this link to a great resource for spell timings. It shows you every spell that buffs or inflicts status conditions and lists how long the effects will last.

Just realized I forgot to include Poison and Recoil status conditions. I will do some research and then update the original post when I find the information.

The only "?" status I can recall is from dark 3 + fire 1. I think it's called mutiny, but it causes one unit to get the charm status. Sometimes it fails though, and when it does a "?" appears over the monster's head briefly. During that time, the monster cannot attack or move. It only lasts for like 3 or 4 seconds though.
