What are each of the elements, what kinds of things should I attribute to each element? Which stats do the elements buff? Which elements cause what status conditions? How do weaknesses and immunities work? Does Isaac have an elemental affinity? Lets get started! There are 7 elements in LostMagic. The first 6 are Fire, Water, Wind Earth, Dark, Light which i will discuss now. Similar to pokemon, elements come into play for strengths and weaknesses. However, they differ in that each element and its opposite are both doubly affected by each other. For example, both fire and water hit each other for 2x damage as opposed to any other element. Additionally, Wind and Earth are tied together in the same way as are Dark and Light. Conversely, if a spell of the same element hits a monster or mage, they will resist it and be slightly healed rather than taking damage. As for the 7th element of balance, it's basically neutral and therefore has no strengths or weaknesses over any of the others. The player controlled mage Isaac is balance element so he has no weaknesses or resistances. Aside from the damage potency, each element tends to bestow niche modifiers to a particular stat. Fire tends to boost a monster class's base attack stat, water boosts evasion, wind boosts speed, earth boosts defense, dark boosts accuracy, and light boosts magic defense. In addition to stat boosts, each element has one or more natural resistances to status conditions. Fire resists berserk and burn, water resists weak freeze, wind resists recoil, earth resists pacify, dark resists poison and gold song, and light resists terror and charm. Basically, any spell that doesn't guarantee a status affect will have a lower chance of hitting if it's the same element. Ice King is a notable exception as it will freeze 100% of the time on hit. And lets not forget the obvious: Fire causes burn, water causes freeze deep freeze (the snowman) and bubble, wind causes recoil, earth has no applicable status conditions, dark causes poison, and light causes terror and charm. That's basically all you need to know about the elements. |

Now that LostMagic is completely irrelevant, i figured it would be a good time to finish writing this article and unlock the topic.
